PACKING AND PROPERTIES OF THE YARN

    Properties of a yarn. At yarn purchase it is necessary to pay attention to such qualities of a yarn, as крутку, elasticity, flatness and durability of coloring.

          Крутка. The thread shouldn't be strongly braided as the product from such threads gets out of the shape, the cloth often turns out braided and this defect can't be eliminated even with the help отпаривания. If the combined thread to be braided, means, to use it for knitting on spokes it is impossible.

         Elasticity – one of the major characteristics of a yarn. It is ability of a thread to accept the initial form after loading removal. Elasticity and durability of a thread – inseparable from each other qualities. To define elasticity and durability of a yarn, stretch a yarn part in hands. If the thread vigorously resists to a stretching and comes back in an initial condition, means, it strong and elastic. The product from such yarn will be durable and won't change the form at operation. If the thread is torn from a small tension to use for its knitting it is not recommended. To rectify situation it is possible if to connect it to other stronger thread.

       Flatness of a thread plays also great value. This quality can be measured by eye. If the site of a thread has no thickenings, means, it equal and it it is possible to use for knitting. At use of a rough yarn the cloth looks inaccurately.

      It is necessary to test a yarn and on durability of coloring. It is especially important at вывязывании strips of different color. Take a small piece of a thread, moisten with warm water with soap addition, slightly rinse and turn in a white fabric. Then iron the iron. After that be convinced that on a fabric doesn't remain color divorces. If it has occurred, the yarn shouldn't be used, as coloring fragile and a finished article will necessarily fade at washing.
